ABSTRACT ART is a deconstruction or semi-representational view of life... Abstract art takes the viewer on a journey of imagination into a world of fantasy. It forces the eye to ponder the subject and let the heart and mind soar to new heights. What would this world be without abstract art? Jackson Pollock broke new ground with his paintings and allowed other artists like myself to explore abstraction at this present time. My painting a day has been one of these explorations. The journey continues... 
Most of my painting career has been about painting in a large scale format... The larger the better. To feel as if I am walking into a window. The painting consuming me and overtaking my senses. Lately it has been about painting in a smaller format. The new series of Painting A Day has been about creating little jewels of abstract paintings... I hold them in my hand and watch the mosaic effects of these paintings take shape. They feel solid and unique with a life of their own. A series of each one being different yet ONE. A mosaic of colors and patterns that capture the senses and free the spirit. This is basically how I feel as I paint each one and let them tell me how they want to take shape. Painting A Day has been a liberating experience thus far... It has brought a new sense of creativity and purpose to my art at this time. I never know what the day will bring. I am happy that I started this series and wait for each new painting to unfold...
